Skin & Peels
A chemical or all natural solution is used, depending on the treatment chosen, as a method to improve facial skin by removing and repairing its damaged outer layer of skin cells. Alpha Hydroxy (AHA/BHA) acids are the gentlest of these and are used for milder peels. Medium to slightly deeper peels sometimes involve the application of trichloroacetic (TCA) acid and phenol acids. The precise formula used is adjusted to meet each patient’s needs. Peels improve skin tone and texture, reduce signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles, unclog pores and aid in the treatment of acne, firm and tighten skin, reduce hyper-pigmentation, pore size and noticeable scars, can remove precancerous tissue without ablation and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The skin is left softer, brighter, and healthier.
