Information about Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash extensions are a cosmetic enhancement in which synthetic or natural fibers are attached to the natural eyelashes using a semi-permanent adhesive. These extensions can create the appearance of longer, fuller, and darker lashes, eliminating the need for mascara or eyelash curlers.

Here’s an overview of the eyelash extension process:

  • Consultation: Before getting eyelash extensions, you’ll typically have a consultation with a trained technician. During this consultation, you can discuss the desired look, length, and thickness of the lashes.
  • Selection of Lashes: There are different types of eyelash extensions, including synthetic, mink, silk, and others. You can choose based on your preference for a more natural or dramatic look.
  • Application: The eyelash extensions are applied one by one to each natural lash using a special adhesive. The process requires precision, as each extension is attached to an individual natural lash, avoiding contact with the skin.
  • Duration: The application process can take a couple of hours, depending on the desired fullness and the skill of the technician.
  • Aftercare: Proper aftercare is crucial to maintaining the longevity of eyelash extensions. Avoiding oil-based products, not rubbing the eyes, and refraining from using eyelash curlers are essential practices. Regular touch-ups are also recommended to replace any lost lashes and maintain the desired look.
  • Lash Fills: As your natural lashes go through their growth cycle, the extensions will gradually fall out. To keep the lashes looking full, many people opt for regular “fills” or touch-ups, usually every two to four weeks.
